TTL and LVDS

Friends who know LCD screen should know that LCD screen interface is mainly divided into TTL signal interface and LVDS signal interface, of course, RSDS, TMDS and so on. Next, we briefly introduce TTL and LVDS.
TTL means the transistor-transistor logic. TTL signal is the standard signal that TFT-LCD can recognize. There are 22 TTL signal lines (least, without calculating ground and power) which are separated into R G B tricolor signal, two HS and VS line-field synchronous signals, one data enabling signal DE, one clock signal CLK, and each of them is based on R G B tricolor. The number of bits of the screen is different, and the three primary colors of the six-bit screen and the eight-bit screen are R0-R5 (R7) G0-G5 (G7) B0-B5 (B7), respectively. The color signal of the screen display will be confused by mis-connection. The other four signals (HS VS DE CLK) are the control signals, and the wrong connection will make the screen illuminated and can not be displayed properly.
Because the TTL signal level is about 3V, it has a great impact on high-speed, long-distance transmission, and the anti-interference ability is poor. Later, the LVDS interface effectively solved this problem. As long as the screen is above XGA, the interface mode of LVDS is generally adopted.
LVDS (low Voltage Differential Signaling) is a low-voltage differential signal. Its working principle is that it uses a special IC to encode the input TTL signal into LVDS signal. Six bits are 4 groups of differential signals and eight bits are 5 groups of differential signals. The data line name is D0-D0+D1-D1+D2+CK+D3+D3+There is no D3-D3+on our motherboard if it is a 6-bit screen. Done. At the end of the screen, there is also a decoding IC that converts the LVDS signal into TTL signal, and the final use of the screen is TTL signal. Because the LVDS signal level is about 1V, and the interference between - line and + line can cancel each other out. So the anti-jamming ability is very strong. It is very suitable for high resolution screens.
